Bacoor LGU (Cavite). The Municipality of Bacoor is a 1st class municipality in Cavite. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 664,625 people, making it the 14th most populous city in the Philippines  and the second largest city in the province of Cavite after Dasmariñas. (49).

Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGH/BGHMC). The Baguio General Hospital was selected as a site to estimate vaccine effectiveness (VE) among healthcare workers (HCW) in Northern Luzon. BGH has over 1000 HCW with estimated COVID-19 vaccination coverage of over 80%.

Philippine General Hospital (PGH). The national university hospital, the Philippine General Hospital is a government health institution and one of the COVID-19 Referral Centers in the country. It was the first hospital to have implemented the COVID-19 vaccination roll-out program in March 2021. By June 2021 it is estimated to have an 80% vaccine coverage among its staff.

Barangay UP Campus (Diliman, Quezon City). Barangay U.P. Campus was selected as a study site to represent a typical community in the urban setting. U.P. Campus is a barangay in Quezon City, Metro Manila.  While a large and more popular part of the barangay is occupied by the University of the Philippines Diliman campus, Bgry. UP Campus covers seven other barangays in Quezon City, namely Krus na Ligas, San Vicente, Botocan, Culiat, Old Capitol Site, Pansol and Vasra. Barangay U.P. Campus according to a census in 2012 has an urban poor population of at least 15,500 households, each having an average of 4.5 members (48).

Taguig City LGU. The City of Taguig is a first class highly urbanized municipality. It is the fifth most populated city in the country having a total of 28 barangays. Located in the Southern section of Metro Manila and Northwestern shore of Laguna de Bay, it houses one of the leading financial districts of the country, the Bonifacio Global City. This cohort comprised 813,741 adults.

The Medical City (TMC). The Medical City is a private hospital in Pasig City with an 800-bed capacity. At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, TMC transformed four of its patient floors and two of its ICUs to COVID units. TMC has a large health force of over 5,000 employees and trainees. TMC has an institutionally approved ongoing HCW COVID study and is being applied for amendments to provide additional essential information related to VE among HCW in the private sector.

Motiong LGU (Samar). Samar is the third largest and seventh most populous island in the Philippines located in the Eastern Visayas and is divided into three provinces– Northern, Eastern, and Western Samar. However, it is to be noted that the province of Samar is divided into two congressional districts. Majority of the municipalities and the two cities are coastal and only four are in the mainland. General Santos City (Fish Port). General Santos City lies in the southern part of the Philippines. The city is bounded by municipalities of Sarangani Province, namely Alabel in the east, and Maasim in the south. General Santos is likewise bounded by the South Cotabato municipality of Polomolok and Sarangani Province municipality of Malungon in the north, and the municipality of T’boli in the west. The barangays are actively monitoring their COVID-19 cases and vaccinating their people.
